Tortillas

I tried making homemade tortillas last week with encouragement from my sister, Holly. Not one was round but they did their job holding our BBQ Pork tacos together. This is the recipe I used, I think I over kneaded the dough and will probably try other recipes if I come across it. I'm going to keep trying, there's some that use olive oil i'll give a go since I always have ingredients in the cupboard. Ole`!

Tortillas (I halved the recipe)
Ingredients
  • 2  3/4 cups all-purpose flour, plus a little extra for rolling the tortillas
  • 5 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup very warm tap water
