Loving You; Anniversary Love

Mr. Finch and I celebrated two years of wedded bliss on Tuesday, July 30th. He was sweet enough to take the day off work and it was my turn to plan the day. We take turns on Valentines and our Anniversary so we both get turns to plan and think of the other person. It's been really fun to rotate. It's fun to get spoiled but maybe more fun to think of him and a day he'd like.

Monday night I lied to him that I had accidentally held onto my mom's credit card and needed to return it that night. He was great to make the drive. I suggested we stop to refill gas after stopping at my mom's house long enough for my sister to slip our dinner in the trunk on the car. Brandon usually drives when we're in the car and often I read aloud from a book we're reading together. I requested that I drive and he read since my eyes were getting tired. A few wrong turns later and we were headed up American Fork Canyon. We looped around and I pulled into Campsite #6.
I had great help from my sister, Holly, to set up the tent and site so everything would be ready when we pulled up and could just enjoy the night. Flowers from my mom's gardens and candles made it feel like we were celebrating. Of course it started to rain so we ate dinner in the tent, take out from Olive Garden. We ate at Olive Garden for our wedding luncheon. The rain stopped just in time for the Mister to put his fire-making skills to the test and have a s'more. We sat enjoying the fire, treats and one of the most amazing skies I've seen in a long time. The stars were thick and bright.
View from our "dining room" while it rained.
Where I had planned to eat; we still got to enjoy the candles!

In the morning we cleaned up camp and headed to hike to Timpanogos Cave. The hike is pretty steep but the views were distracting. The day was perfect and it was nice to be back in the sun after touring the caves which were 45 degrees inside. The caves are close enough that everyone should see something so interesting in our backyard.
We headed home, cleaned up and headed out for Brandon's favorites. HAMBURGERS! To my Mister there's nothing better than double patties, cheese, bacon, sauce, loaded on a bun. Add french fries and fry sauce and he's a pretty happy guy.

Stuffed, we sat down for a movie. World War Z, what else besides a zombie apocalypse movie for your Anniversary! We topped off the night with our favorite treat-ice cream.

Two Year Anniversary gift happens to be cotton which was a wonderful coincidence since I made Brandon a je t'aime "I love you" pillow for our bed.
We've been married two years and it doesn't seem like it's been long at all but we have so many memories together and have learned so much about love, marriage and each other. The happiness we experience together whether we're on an adventure or sitting on the couch is wonderful. We have been very blessed and I'm blessed to have him. I am grateful that our marriage's foundation is routed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We love, serve eachother, forgive eachother and aim to be better spouses and individuals becuase we have a perfect example in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm grateful that we began our Marriage in the Temple and the knowledge that provides. I'm grateful to be surrounded by wonderful examples of marriage that we can try to emulate. I'm grateful for you, Brandon, for the type of person and husband you try to be everyday. Thank you for your patience, love, service, work, and for being so thoughtful and kind. You are my best friend and I'll always be yours.

I loved reminiscing about how you Proposed, our Wedding Day, and Our First Anniversary. It was a wonderful day.

I love you my dear, sweet husband, Brandon Finch.
Love, Me.
