WHITE ELEPHANT RESPONSIBILTY

New Years Eve brought friends, games, foods, kisses, and fishes. Yes, fishes. We had a white elephant exchange and I happened to select a bag that held not one, but two shiny goldfish. No one wanted to steal away our new treasures so we ended up taking the two home. We still can't settle on names...I know they're just goldfish, imagine kid names! We have a new little environment for them-I know we think it's way cooler than they do. I guess these are our new pets, I'm glad they're goldfish. It's about all the responsibilty we can handle right now :D

Here's a little info we found out about goldfish:

"The gold fish brings good luck in the form of tranquility, wisdom and long life. It is one among the eight sacred symbols of the Buddha where they represent fertility, abundance and harmony with the flow of life. Ancient Greeks believed goldfish enhanced good luck in marriage and relationships. In ancient Egypt goldfish were kept in the house as a lucky omen for the family and helped cheer up domestic situations."

Not such a bad white elephant gift after all....

  3. Love it. Tim and I had a couple of fish in the last seven years, and they are a lot of work sometimes, nothing compared to Logan though :)
Good to see you two today!
